The Korea Creative Content Agency said President Kim Yun-ji and Standing Auditor Han Seung-hoon jointly pledged an anti-corruption and integrity ethics policy to spread an anti-corruption and integrity culture at the agency and carry out ethical management.

According to the agency, the pledge came after it received the highest grade, A grade, in the Board of Audit and Inspection's review of its self-audit activities in May. The agency said the pledge was prepared to further strengthen internal control and ethical management systems and to spread integrity culture and ethical management across the institution.

The Korea Creative Content Agency said it is a public institution overseeing the promotion of content industries including broadcasting, games, music and webtoons, and considers fairness and transparency across its work important. The agency said the joint pledge reaffirmed its commitment to eliminating corruption, strictly complying with laws and internal regulations, and practicing anti-corruption and ethical management in every work process.

According to the agency, the pledge covers eliminating corruption and illegal acts, banning the receipt of improper benefits such as money, goods and entertainment, preventing management risks through compliance with laws and internal regulations and systematic internal control, and operating reporting and early-detection systems to support anti-corruption activities and autonomous internal control. It also includes guaranteeing the independence and accountability of the organization dedicated to integrity and ethics, and spreading integrity and ethics culture through continuous improvement activities.

Standing Auditor Han Seung-hoon said, 'We will continue prevention-focused audits and anti-corruption activities and more faithfully carry out the audit body's original role so integrity can take root as an everyday organizational culture.' President Kim Yun-ji said, 'To lay the foundation for the sustainable growth of K-culture, a fair and transparent organizational culture must come first,' adding, 'As head of the agency, I will fulfill my responsibility so that it can become a content industry support institution trusted by the public based on integrity and ethics.'

The Korea Creative Content Agency said it plans to share the anti-corruption and integrity ethics policy across the organization and strengthen internal control in major work areas including support-program operations, contracts and budget execution. The agency also said it will continue prevention-focused audits, integrity education for employees and inspections of areas vulnerable to corruption to create a fair and transparent work environment as a content industry support institution.
