Kim Ji-young apologizes over shower comments

According to OSEN, influencer Kim Ji-young, a former cast member of Heart Signal 4, apologized on her YouTube channel over the controversy that followed her appearance on the SBS variety program Same Bed, Different Dreams 2: You Are My Destiny. OSEN said a video titled 'How does someone live 3 years after appearing on a dating show' was released on Kim's channel on the 7th.

OSEN reported that Kim had drawn attention on the broadcast after saying she showers with her husband every day. The article said some responses described the comment as affection between newlyweds, while others criticized the disclosure as too much private information.

In the YouTube video, Kim said, 'Many people were uncomfortable. Seeing that made me think I had gone too far.' She added that the routine felt natural in her own life and that she had not considered other people's positions, saying she had thought of it as something that would pass by like eating breakfast because she was not used to filming for television.

Kim said she had not expected that scene to receive so much attention. She added, 'Many people said, I did not want to know even this much, and I am sorry about that. It was too much TMI.'

Kim also addressed malicious comments directed at her husband. In the video, she said, 'The malicious comments about my husband are really upsetting,' and explained that his appearance on Same Bed, Different Dreams 2: You Are My Destiny came while he was extremely nervous in front of many cameras and production staff.

Kim said some comments claimed his eyes looked unfocused or that he looked gloomy, but she said he naturally makes that expression when nervous. She added that it is difficult to judge all of someone from a 1-minute short-form video and that clips are often edited and spread in a provocative way.

Kim asked people to be kinder to one another and said she hoped for a little more acceptance. In a separate recent YouTube video, according to OSEN, Kim said that during an obstetrics and gynecology checkup, her doctor comforted her by saying, 'You are so hot that people seem to envy you a lot.' Kim added in captions that she thought the doctor was worried she might be stressed by comments on Same Bed, Different Dreams 2: You Are My Destiny.

OSEN said Kim married Trevari founder Yoon Soo-young in February and is pregnant with her first child.

I hope people can be a little kinder to one another. I hope people will be a little more accepting.
