ABOUT
What KWaveWire stands for
Just the context you need, right now. KWaveWire is a trustworthy newsroom covering Korean entertainment for readers around the world.
KWaveWire covers the moments rising fast across K-variety shows, K-pop, K-drama, celebrity social media, and Korean culture trends. Instead of sensational phrasing or claims without sources, we aim for short, accurate stories that let readers grasp the context in about a minute.
Editorial principles
- We do not publish stories without a source.
- High-risk topics are published only after human review.
- Headlines are informative by default; we do not use clickbait.
- We do not reproduce community or social posts in full — we favor short quotes and links.
- When an error is confirmed, we fix it as quickly as possible and leave a correction note.
Who runs KWaveWire and what it is
KWaveWire is an independent online newsroom, currently in beta. We do not publish the personal details of individual editors. Instead we run desk-level bylines (for example, Entertainment Desk or Trends Desk) and never use fabricated reporter names.
KWaveWire is an information service that curates and contextualizes Korean entertainment news and trends; it is not a registered press outlet or a licensed news agency. We use the word "newsroom" to describe our editorial workspace, not a legal press status. Corrections and rights-infringement matters are handled under standards we set voluntarily, not as a legal press obligation.
Our editorial ethics are set out in the code of ethics; our editorial standards and how we use automation tools are described in the editorial & AI policy; how we handle corrections and takedowns is explained in the corrections page; and tips, inquiries, and rights-infringement requests are covered on the contact page.
