Kang Seung-yoon shared the story of his connection with BTS member Jin during a recording of the KBS2 entertainment program Immortal Songs.

The July 11 broadcast of Immortal Songs is the Rock Band Boohwal 40th Anniversary - Kim Tae-won episode. Kang Seung-yoon, Kim Shinui Band, Yuk Joong-wan Band, Lee Ye-ji, Lee Seung-hyub and Yoo Hwe-seung of N.Flying, and Cho Jazz appear on the program.

Looking back on his military service, Kang said Jin was serving as an assistant instructor at the training center where he was set to enter. Kang said they had not been close, but Jin contacted him first after hearing about his enlistment.

Kang said Jin suggested, 'Let's be assistant instructors together. I'll tell you the tips for being selected as an assistant instructor.' Kang added that he trained hard with that idea in mind, but 'heaven did not help me,' and he ultimately did not become an assistant instructor.

Kang also said he graduated from the training center in 1st place. He said Jin passed by and gave him one box of chocolates, telling him, 'Aren't you working too hard? Don't suffer too much.'

Kang said trainees could not use the PX at the time, so the chocolates made him 'a hero' in the barracks. Immortal Songs airs every Saturday at 6:5 p.m.
