BTS to stage THE CITY in New York

According to Newsis, BTS will hold the urban pop-up festival THE CITY across New York from July 24 to August 3. The report said the project commemorates the release of the new album ARIRANG and a world tour.

Newsis said earlier versions of the project passed through Sungnyemun, a national treasure of South Korea, the Sphere in Las Vegas and the London Eye in the United Kingdom. For the New York event, the report identified a takeover of Grand Central Terminal as the main feature.

From July 30 to August 3, the main hall of Grand Central Terminal will feature an ARIRANG theme, Newsis reported. In Vanderbilt Hall, ARMY MADANG will include an exhibition of past BTS stage outfits and a T-shirt customization experience, according to the report.

Newsis reported that K-brand collaborations centered on KCCNY will also be included. A Samsung Electronics smart-device experience zone and other participating K-beauty, F&B and brand programs named in the source will introduce Korean culture, according to the report.

The report said other offline activities around New York will include concerts at MetLife Stadium on August 1-2, a stamp rally linking major locations, random play dance with local crews and a welcome party. Additional program details will be released through Weverse on July 20, according to Newsis.
