Yoon Jong-shin says Jang Hang-jun's status has shifted
On KBS2's 'Happy Together—Glad I'm Not Alone,' Yoon said he felt he had been cast through Jang after almost 30 years as close friends.

Singer Yoon Jong-shin said on KBS2's new entertainment program 'Happy Together—Glad I'm Not Alone' that he had felt film director Jang Hang-jun's changed standing after the box-office attention around 'The King's Warden.' The program's first episode aired on July 10 and featured 3 MCs Yoo Jae-suk, Jang Hang-jun and Yoon Jong-shin, with Lee Hyori appearing as a special MC.
During a preliminary meeting shown on the broadcast, Yoo and Yoon congratulated Jang on the box-office performance of 'The King's Warden,' which Jang directed. Yoo then told Yoon, 'Maybe it is because I am thinking that way, but you look very intimidated,' drawing laughter in the segment.
Yoon said, 'After almost 30 years as close friends, I thought I might end up benefiting from Jang Hang-jun. Usually, I get cast and the production team asks, 'How about director Jang Hang-jun?' But now it feels like I was brought in thanks to Hang-jun.'
Jang responded jokingly, 'They asked me, 'What about Yoon Jong-shin?' I confirmed him.' Yoo also teased Yoon by saying, 'The MC articles came out with Hang-jun first and then you. Keep your spirits up.'
Jang continued the joke by saying, 'When we talk on the phone lately, I somehow feel like you are holding the receiver with both hands on the other end.' Yoon replied, 'My tone has changed. The contemptuous tone is gone. I used to look down on him in the past.'
