Kim Sung-ryung recalls wearing 3 billion won jewelry at Cannes
On MBC's Radio Star, Kim Sung-ryung said security guards followed her because of the jewelry she wore at the Cannes Film Festival.
Kim Sung-ryung shared an anecdote about wearing jewelry worth 3 billion won when she attended the Cannes Film Festival.
On the July 15 broadcast of MBC's variety program Radio Star, Kim appeared on a big eaters special with U-Know Yunho, Heo Kyung-hwan and Pungja.
Kim said, 'Twelve years ago, I attended the Cannes Film Festival with the film The Target. The jewelry I wore was so expensive that security guards kept following me.'
She recalled, 'One earring was 1 billion won. Each of the two earrings was 1 billion won, and the bracelet was also 1 billion won.' Kim added that the security guards continued to accompany her.
Kim also said she had to ride only in a car designated by the jewelry side, adding that she used a sponsor's vehicle in Cannes instead of the vehicle assigned to actresses there.
Kim, born in 1967, was officially invited to the Midnight Screenings section of the 67th Cannes Film Festival in 2014 with the film The Target.
