Lee Jun-young recalls pursuing suspected drunk-driving vehicle
On tvN's You Quiz on the Block, the actor said police asked him to follow the car and explained why he declined a commendation after the arrest.

Actor Lee Jun-young spoke on tvN's You Quiz on the Block about the time he followed a vehicle suspected of drunk driving and helped with an arrest. The broadcast said Lee appeared on the July 8 episode as a lead actor in JTBC's Saturday-Sunday drama New Employee Chairman Kang.
On the show, Yoo Jae-suk brought up Lee's past account of following the suspected drunk-driving vehicle for about 1 hour and asked whether he had really chased it that long. Lee said, 'At first, I was only planning to report it and go home.'
Lee said police asked him, 'Could you follow that car?' He recalled that he kept following it because he thought it would be better for the car to hit his own vehicle than to get into an accident with another vehicle.
Lee also said he had been on the phone with the head of his agency during the pursuit. According to Lee, he told him, 'I have something to do for a moment,' ended the call and followed the vehicle.
Lee said he was offered a commendation after the arrest but declined it politely. He said, 'There are many citizens besides me who act bravely in places we do not see. I did not think it was right for me to accept it on behalf of them.' Lee added that he also thought about whether he should go home even then, saying he was very scared.
