Lee Jun-young says he studied Son Hyun-joo's speech for Reborn Rookie

Actor Lee Jun-young said on tvN's You Quiz on the Block on the 8th that he worked to match Son Hyun-joo's tone for his role in JTBC's Saturday-Sunday drama Reborn Rookie. The program featured Lee as a guest after his appearance in the drama.
Lee said he played Hwang Jun-hyun, a promising soccer player whose body contains the soul of Choi Sung Group chairman Kang Yong-ho, played by Son Hyun-joo. Lee said he 'studied speech patterns and emotional flow while eating and having drinks with Son Hyun-joo.'
Lee said he and Son set a boundary before filming. He said, 'We had made a promise before filming. We would align the emotional flow and speech patterns, but avoid copying anything beyond that,' adding that he tried to complete the character through his own interpretation rather than simple imitation.
Lee also spoke about his usual shyness. He said, 'When I got home, I was drained as if the batteries had been removed. There were times I fell asleep on the sofa without even cleaning my face.'
Lee described efforts before his military enlistment to change that side of himself. He said, 'When it became time to go to the military, I found myself making resolutions I usually did not make,' and added that before going, he tried to greet staff members often and joke around to overcome his shy personality.
