Yoon Eun-hye shares tomato caprese salad
Yoon Eun-hye shared a tomato caprese salad on her SNS, with the source linking its ingredients to skin elasticity and aging care.

Singer-actress Yoon Eun-hye shared part of her daily routine on her social networking service on the 21st of last month, showing herself eating a tomato caprese salad. The salad in the photo combined tomato, fresh mozzarella cheese and ruby red kiwi.
The ingredients were presented as foods connected to skin aging prevention and elasticity care. A PubMed-listed paper by Professor M. Rizwan's dermatology research group at the University of Manchester says lycopene, the main antioxidant component in tomatoes, is fat-soluble and has higher bioavailability when eaten with healthy fats such as olive oil.
The source said that combination works as an internal protective barrier against skin redness and fine damage caused by ultraviolet exposure. It also said the combination helps slow skin aging and maintain firm skin tissue over the long term.
Ruby red kiwi was included for its vitamin C content. A PubMed-listed paper by Juliet M. Pullar's team at the University of Otago says vitamin C activates enzymes for collagen synthesis in the dermis, helping restore and strengthen elasticity that declines with age.
The source also said vitamin C performs antioxidant functions by inhibiting melanin production linked to discoloration caused by ultraviolet rays and the external environment. It described ruby red kiwi as having higher antioxidant activity than regular kiwi.
Milk and cheese were also cited as foods associated with skin health. A PubMed-listed paper by Auestad's team at the University of Illinois says milk and cheese are sources of essential amino acids for collagen synthesis, and that bioactive peptides released from dairy proteins during digestion promote tissue regeneration.
