TWICE completes THIS IS FOR encore in Seoul

JYP Entertainment said on July 13 that TWICE completed encore concerts for its sixth world tour, 'THIS IS FOR,' from July 10-12 at KSPO DOME in Olympic Park, Songpa District, Seoul. The tour began in Incheon last July and covered Asia, Oceania, North America and Europe, with 81 performances in 44 regions.

The agency said the tour included TWICE becoming the first overseas artist to play Japan's National Stadium and the first K-pop girl group to hold a solo concert at Hong Kong's Kai Tak Stadium. The Seoul encore used a set list that drew on the group's 11 years together.

The concert opened with 'THIS IS FOR,' the title track from TWICE's 4th full-length album, and continued with songs including 'OPTIONS,' 'MARS,' 'Like OOH-AHH,' 'TT' and 'CHEER UP.' The songs were performed with a live band.

Solo stages included Tzuyu's 'Run Away,' Nayeon's 'ABCD,' Chaeyoung's 'SHOOT(Firecracker)' and Jihyo's 'Killin' Me Good.' Unit stages shown in Korea for the first time included Jeongyeon, Jihyo and Chaeyoung's 'TAKEDOWN' and Mina, Sana and Momo's 'Confetti.'

The tour's 360-degree, all-seats-open stage was used for the Seoul encore. A stage structure crossed the center of the venue, and a 4-sided LED setup moved up and down; during 'I GOT YOU,' TWICE used three stages in line with the members' stated wish to be 'as close as possible to ONCE wherever we are.'

The concert also showed interactions among the members, including Jihyo handing a towel to Jeongyeon after a stage, Nayeon holding Tzuyu's hand after an ending pose, and the members gathering in a circle during 'Dance The Night Away.' Jihyo said TWICE could shine before new challenges because ONCE 'fully embraced us,' and said 'every moment went beyond being moving and became thrilling.'

Nayeon called ONCE TWICE's only 'one and only' and eternal 'first,' and asked the fandom to 'keep looking at each other for a long, long time.' Jeongyeon said she remembered 'ONCE's sparkling eyes on deep nights when I had many thoughts,' Sana said it felt like receiving 'the most beautiful hearts in the world,' Mina said they should fill the new pages ahead with brighter stories, and Tzuyu called ONCE 'the strength to move forward again.' The concert ended with 'ONE IN A MILLION' and 'Be as ONE.'
