On MBC's Omniscient Interfering View, Minami said her mother told her to check after BTS member Jung Kook mentioned the 'Yaho' meme and her cover song.
Minami, a member of the group, spoke about becoming what Korean fandom slang describes as a 'successful fan' after a recent mention by BTS member Jung Kook. The group appeared on MBC's Omniscient Interfering View on July 11.
During the broadcast, the group was asked whether the members could feel their popularity after appearing near the top of major music charts. Woni said, 'It is surprising that we are even on those music chart rankings.'
Minami said the response around her helped her sense the change. She said, 'When I hear people around me say congratulations, I think we have come up.' Woni and Minami said they began to feel the popularity after the 'Yaho' meme drew attention.
Jung Kook's mention of the 'Yaho' meme and Minami's cover song also drew attention. Minami said, 'I have been a BTS fan for 11 years. I saw it in the morning and said, 'This is crazy.' My mom contacted me and said, 'Hurry and look,'' expressing her joy.
