Kim Shin-young to join Jeon Yu-sung memorial stage
The comedian will appear at the 14th Busan International Comedy Festival on August 22 for a stage honoring her late mentor.

Comedian Kim Shin-young will appear in a special performance honoring the first anniversary of the death of her mentor, the late comedian Jeon Yu-sung.
The Busan International Comedy Festival organizing committee said on July 13 that Kim will present the memorial performance at the 14th Busan International Comedy Festival on August 22.
The committee said the stage was prepared as a tribute to Jeon, who died of pneumothorax last September. Kim, Lee Hong-ryul, Shin Bong-sun and Zoltan members Lee Jae-hyung, Han Hyun-min and Jung Jin-wook, who were close to Jeon during his lifetime, will appear together to revisit his comedy spirit and humor.
Kim and Jeon first met as teacher and student during Kim's college years and maintained a close relationship for years. Kim stayed by Jeon's hospital bed until shortly before his death, delivered a memorial address at his funeral service and accepted his achievement award on his behalf at the 2025 MBC Entertainment Awards.
