SBS adds 1 episode to High Valley, Top Hero

SBS variety program High Valley, Top Hero will air as a 7-episode series after being extended by 1 episode, the program's team said on July 8, according to Newsis. The team said, 'We were able to add 1 episode thanks to the warm support sent by viewers,' and added, 'Please keep showing anticipation and interest until the end.'

Newsis described High Valley, Top Hero as the 2nd season of Little Island, Big Hero, singer Lim Young-woong's first regular variety program. The show follows Lim as he lives a nature-focused life at an isolated 'mountain bachelor house,' according to the report.

Since its first broadcast on June 23, the program has stayed No. 1 among Tuesday variety shows for 3 consecutive weeks on the 2049 ratings indicator, Newsis reported. The report also said it recorded a peak per-minute rating of 6.5%.

Newsis said the program drew attention on OTT and online platforms. It entered Netflix's Top 10 right after its first broadcast and reached a highest ranking of 4th, while Lim ranked 2nd among non-drama performers in a topicality ranking announced by Fundex, according to the report.

The production team said that, with the expansion to 7 episodes, it would meet viewers with more stories and special friends. Next week's broadcast will show comedian Kwak Beom, rapper Nucksal and singer Roy Kim living at the mountain house, while actors Cha Seung-won and Kim Do-hoon, who became connected through tvN's Three Meals a Day series, are scheduled to appear, Newsis reported.
