Yang Chi-seung unveils restaurant app after gym closure
The broadcaster said the GPS-based app recommends budget-friendly restaurants nearby and grew from a 2019 suggestion by Jun Hyun-moo.

Broadcaster and former health trainer Yang Chi-seung has unveiled a restaurant-recommendation app he said he had been preparing for a long period. His YouTube channel YangBoss MakTube uploaded a video on the 12th with a title referring to Yang coming out of the gym after 25 years, and the video showed him presenting the app.
In the video, Yang said he had 'made something fun' and introduced an app built around his nickname. He described it as a GPS-based service that helps users find budget-friendly restaurants nearby, with options to choose among different kinds of food.
Yang said, 'Prices have gone up so much these days, so eating out is a burden, isn't it? It is an app that introduces restaurants people can visit without feeling burdened.'
Yang said the idea for the app dated back to 2019. He said he earned the nickname during appearances on a KBS program because he was often shown looking for inexpensive restaurants, and broadcaster Jun Hyun-moo, after seeing that, suggested, 'If that is what you do, try making an app.'
Yang said he first thought the idea was 'not bad' and began preparing it, adding that he had received a patent for a name combining his own name with the nickname. He said the launch took time, laughing as he said, 'I delayed it because I had no money.'
Yang added that he had also been busy, but that app development itself was not easy. He said he was able to focus on development in earnest after closing out the gym operation.
