Jo Hye-ryun previewed a diet project focused on exercise rather than anti-obesity medication. Her YouTube channel posted a video on the 15th titled 'Who gets Mounjaro these days? Jo Hye-ryun declares a face-off with diet injections.'

In the video, Jo said many comments ask about her weight-loss method. She said, 'I lost 8㎏, and my younger brother lost 17㎏. I thought I should now take responsibility for viewers' diets.'

Jo mentioned anti-obesity injections such as Wegovy and Mounjaro. She said, 'Many people these days get shots like Wegovy or Mounjaro. They are effective, but there is a yo-yo effect.'

Jo said she created a diet dance 27 years ago and later presented Tae Bo, which combines taekwondo and boxing. She recalled, 'At the time, during filming, I shot a 30-minute program five times without resting, and I lost 4㎏ in one day.'

Jo introduced the project under the name 'Taeunjaro' (태운자로). She explained that the name combines Mounjaro and Tae Bo and means seeking a weight-loss effect through exercise. Jo named Kang Ho-dong, Heo Kyung-hwan, Kim Jong-kook and Ma Sun-ho among the people she wants to work with on the project.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration(FDA) approved Zepbound, an anti-obesity medication using the same ingredient as Mounjaro, tirzepatide, and specified that it should be used with a reduced-calorie diet and physical activity. Mounjaro was originally approved as a Type 2 diabetes treatment and was recognized for blood-sugar control under the condition that diet therapy and exercise are used together.

The FDA warned that side effects can include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, abdominal pain, fatigue and hair loss. The FDA also said people with a history of thyroid cancer or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia type 2(MEN2) should not use it, and that combination with other GLP-1 class drugs or with Mounjaro is not recommended.
