CORTIS opens 'PUT YOUR PHONE DOWN' tour in Incheon

CORTIS opened its first solo world tour in Incheon with solo concerts at Inspire Arena on July 18 and 19.

The group held 'PUT YOUR PHONE DOWN' as the starting point of a tour scheduled to continue through September. The tour is set to include 14 shows in 9 cities around the world, including Seoul, Toronto in Canada, New York in the United States and Kanagawa in Japan.

The Incheon and North American concerts sold out during the membership presale stage. Responses to the first day were mixed, including comments about repeated performances of the same songs.

For the second day, some responses said the show had improved after the members spoke more and parts of the proceedings were adjusted. Disappointment over the first-day show continued, as CORTIS has released only 12 songs so far and performed some tracks more than once during the concert.

The concert also drew differing views over its emphasis on the mosh pit, an audience-participation culture. Some fans said it raised the energy of the show, while others said it could be seen as guiding the way the audience watched the performance in a particular direction.

CORTIS thanked fans, saying, 'We are grateful to stand on a big stage less than 1 year after our debut.' After the concert, the group also used a fan communication platform to ask for anticipation and support for the world tour.

CORTIS is scheduled to perform at the U.S. music festival Lollapalooza Chicago in late July, then continue its North American tour starting in Toronto in August. The group is also scheduled to hold a 'PUT YOUR PHONE DOWN' birthday party marking its 1st debut anniversary at Korea University(고려대학교) Hwajeong Gymnasium in Seoul on August 22 and 23.
