Youngjae again seeks Dream High Season 2 fee payment

Youngjae again called for settlement of unpaid appearance fees for the musical Dream High Season 2, urging the production side to make payment. On the 20th, he shared on his SNS a message saying, 'Please settle the payment, and have a good Monday,' along with a post about unpaid appearance fees that he had uploaded in June.

In the reposted message, Youngjae claimed the matter had not been resolved even after the settlement timing the production side had promised. He wrote, 'I remember being told it would be sorted out by June 9, but it still has not been sorted out,' and said that once August arrives, the unsettled payment issue will have lasted almost 1 year.

Youngjae also said he had repeatedly been told to wait a little longer whenever he contacted the production side. He wrote, 'Please do not pay only part of the amount you have to pay and then say the settlement is being processed. Did I unfairly ask for money? Are the time and effort I put into rehearsals nothing?'

The production side said in June that it had discussed settling the remaining unpaid amount with Youngjae's side within the same month, but Youngjae's side denied that any repayment timing had been fixed. After the settlement still was not made, Youngjae again publicly stated his position.

The unpaid appearance fee dispute was not limited to Youngjae. Musical actor Peter recently said on SNS that he had received a message asking him to delete a post on the condition that the appearance fee would be paid, and it also became known that former employees had filed complaints over unpaid wages and severance pay.

Youngjae took legal action early this year against the production side over the unpaid appearance fees. The musical Dream High was reborn as a show musical in 2023, presented Dream High Season 2 last year, and is currently preparing Season 3.
