Simon Dominic recounts theft of diamond-set watch at home
The rapper said he stopped filming at home after a burglary, and the stolen watch was found at a shop he often visited.

Rapper Simon Dominic disclosed on a YouTube channel that a thief once broke into his home. The stolen item was a luxury watch set entirely with diamonds, and its current value is known as between 7 hundred million won and 10 hundred million won.
The person who stole the watch visited a watch shop Simon Dominic usually went to while trying to dispose of it. An acquaintance of Simon Dominic who stopped by the shop recognized the familiar watch, and Simon Dominic checked details including the watch band length at the site before judging that it was his.
Simon Dominic later reviewed CCTV with police. The thief had left identification while consigning the watch for sale, and that became a clue that allowed the suspect to be caught.
Simon Dominic recovered the watch, but he said he suffered aftereffects because he felt afraid after the break-in. He said he no longer does shoots conducted at his home. In the released video, all sides of his home were blurred so that its location and interior layout would be difficult to infer.
Simon Dominic is not the only entertainer who has mentioned damage after showing a home. Actors Nana and Kim Gyu-ri and broadcaster Park Na-rae have also said they experienced unauthorized entry or theft after revealing their homes.
The source said private spaces shown on entertainment programs and social media can create points of contact with the public while also becoming targets for crime. It said protective measures are needed so private information such as location and layout is not exposed during media appearances.
