Girl group i-dle returned on 6 with the summer song 'Gimme Dat Love,' which the report described as sensual and exotic, as the group marked a musical shift at a showcase in Gwangjin District, Seoul.

At the showcase for its ninth mini album 'We made,' i-dle said, 'Now that we are in our 9th year of activities, we have also grown tired of ourselves,' according to the report. The members said they tried the change because they want to keep making music for a long time and enjoy doing interesting things.

The members said they had released summer songs such as 'Dumdi Dumdi' and 'Klaxon' before, and wanted to show different colors of summer this time through music with an 'fighting heat with heat' feeling. Miyeon said the group wanted to show a hotter side that was different from what it had shown before.

According to the report, 'We made' is the group's first new release in six months since the digital single 'Mono' in January this year. The 5-track album includes the title song 'Gimme Dat Love,' the mid-tempo R&B ballad 'Love Is Pain,' for which member Yuqi took part in writing lyrics and composing, 'Crow,' which was pre-released during the world tour, and 'Morning,' which depicts the start of a happy day in everyday life.

Miyeon said the members had many concerns because they sometimes felt confined within their own color, according to the report. She said that just as people choose different clothes each morning depending on what they seek that day, the group also had varied concerns and difficulties about music, and decided to return to a moment like '0,' when they first liked and loved music, to make a meaningful album.

The report described 'Gimme Dat Love' as a sensual summer love song about the thirst of a moment when two people are strongly drawn to each other. Music producers including Daramola and Samantha Camara, who the report said are drawing attention in Latin pop, participated in the song and added an exotic feel.

According to the report, i-dle also expressed support for sexual minorities through lyrics such as 'whether straight or gay' in the track 'Mono' and through the 'Gimme Dat Love' music video, which depicts various kinds of love. Soyeon said, 'It means that we support all kinds of love,' adding that she would be grateful if someone gained strength through it.

The report said i-dle began its world tour 'Syncopation' in February this year at KSPO Dome in Seoul Olympic Park. The group is scheduled to appear at the music festival Lollapalooza in Chicago, United States, on 31 local time, where it will meet local fans.

This time, we wanted to show a side different from what we had shown before, with a hotter, 'fighting heat with heat' kind of feeling.

As singers, doing a world tour is very difficult but also something to be proud of.
