KBS News previews 'The Second Child' and 'Marty Supreme'
KBS News said the new-film lineup includes the fantasy mystery 'The Second Child,' Josh Safdie's 'Marty Supreme' and 'Ready or Not: Here I Come.'

KBS News reported in a post that this week's new-film lineup includes the fantasy mystery 'The Second Child,' the biographical film 'Marty Supreme' and 'Ready or Not: Here I Come.' The broadcaster said 'The Second Child' combines fantasy with mystery, while 'Marty Supreme' features Timothée Chalamet and comments from Bong Joon Ho.
According to KBS News, 'The Second Child,' directed by Yu Eun-jeong, follows Su-an after she regains consciousness 3 years after falling from a rooftop and learns that her older sister has died. KBS News said Su-an is drawn into the secret of a shadow fairy tale when Jae-in, a girl who looks exactly like the late sister, appears.
KBS News reported that Lim Soo-jung, who also took part as a producer, leads the cast with 2 child actors, Park So-i and Yuna. In comments carried by KBS News, Yuna, who plays Jae-in, said the script felt fresh and original rather than like a thriller or horror film, while Park So-i, who plays Su-an, said she wanted to express what she saw as Su-an's growth story.
For 'Marty Supreme,' KBS News said Josh Safdie's film follows Marty, a man filled with ambition for success who dreams of changing his life through table tennis. KBS News reported that Marty boasts he will become the world's best champion and goes through back-alley betting matches and trick table-tennis games as he tries to enter an international tournament.
KBS News said Timothée Chalamet, a Golden Globe Best Actor winner, stars in the film and also joined production. The broadcaster also said Gwyneth Paltrow returned to the screen after a long gap since the 'Avengers' series.
KBS News said 'Ready or Not: Here I Come' is directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett. According to KBS News, Grace, a bride who survived a death game at her in-laws' home on her wedding night, is drawn with her younger sister into another and more brutal hide-and-seek game involving upper-class families.
