Lee Seung-gi faces lien over Jangchung-dong building
A report said P-Ark Construction is exercising a lien on Lee Seung-gi's newly completed building amid a dispute over additional construction costs.

A Korean-language report said singer Lee Seung-gi has been unable to enter a building he built in Jangchung-dong, Seoul, because the contractor is exercising a lien. The report identified the contractor as P-Ark Construction, a family company of Cha Ga-won, chair of One Hundred Label, who is in an exclusive-contract dispute with Lee.
According to the report, Lee bought a 618-square-meter, 187-pyeong plot in Jangchung-dong, Jung-gu, in 2024. The report said the purchase price was about 94 hundred million won, including a 65 hundred million won loan.
The report said Lee began construction in January 2025 on a neighborhood living facility and residential building with one basement level, five above-ground floors and a total floor area of 1077 square meters. P-Ark Construction handled the work, and the building was recently completed, with Lee finishing registration last month, according to the report.
According to the report, P-Ark Construction's lien has left Lee unable to exercise property rights over the building or enter it. The report said the property is surrounded by a large fence and has a banner stating that a lien is in effect.
The report said the dispute concerns additional construction costs. Lee's side says P-Ark Construction demanded nearly 14 hundred million won in additional costs without prior discussion or a known breakdown, while P-Ark Construction says extra costs arose because construction took longer, according to the report.
According to the report, Lee plans to live in the new building after the lease on his current residence ends soon. The report said Lee has filed for a court injunction seeking handover of the building in response to P-Ark Construction's lien.
The report said Lee and Cha are also tied to several other disputes. Lee signed an exclusive contract in 2024 with a label under Cha's entertainment agency One Hundred, but filed a lawsuit to terminate it, saying he did not receive proper settlement payments from the agency, according to the report. The report also said Lee paid a 105 hundred million won lease deposit for La Nouveau Phase 1, a luxury villa in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, built by P-Ark Group and owned by Cha, and that the two sides are in conflict over whether the deposit size was appropriate.
