Baek Il-seob shares update on Grandpas Over Flowers cast
Baek Il-seob spoke on SBS about the cast after Lee Soon-jae's death, saying he sometimes misses his longtime colleague.
Actor Baek Il-seob shared how the Grandpas Over Flowers cast has been doing since the death of Lee Soon-jae.
Baek appeared as a special MC on the July 21 broadcast of SBS variety show Same Bed, Different Dreams 2: You Are My Destiny. He was asked which member of tvN's Grandpas Over Flowers he meets most often.
Baek said, 'Before Soon-jae hyung passed away, we used to meet often among ourselves.' He added, 'Since Soon-jae hyung is gone, we do not have a golf member, so I do not feel like playing golf either.'
He also said Park Geun-hyung is doing a play, and that when he suggests golf, Park says, 'Soon-jae hyung is not here, so what golf are we talking about?' Baek said he had been close to Lee from a very young age and added, 'I sometimes miss him.'
Baek had maintained a long connection with Park Geun-hyung, Shin Goo and the late Lee Soon-jae through producer Na Young-seok's tvN variety series Grandpas Over Flowers. Lee died on November 25 last year at the age of 91, and the government posthumously awarded him the Geumgwan Order of Cultural Merit.
