Yoon Kyung-ho breaks 13-hour silent pledge on air
The actor used a whiteboard during an SBS PowerFM appearance, but spoke while discussing SBS drama Kim Manager and a ratings pledge.

Actor Yoon Kyung-ho did not complete a 13-hour silent-practice pledge during an SBS PowerFM radio appearance on the 13th. He appeared with Joo Sang-wook and Son Na-eun, his co-stars in the SBS Friday-Saturday drama Kim Manager, on Two O'Clock Escape Cultwo Show.
Yoon appeared on visible radio wearing a T-shirt that said he was in silent practice and used a whiteboard when he needed to communicate. On it, he wrote lines such as 'I only have 13 chances to write. It is very nice to meet you,' 'I am very sorry that I cannot talk with you,' and 'Thank you for loving Kim Manager.'
Joo Sang-wook said the rule was that Yoon's pledge time would increase by 5 each time he spoke. Son Na-eun said, 'He already said one word while waiting, so 5 has already been added.'
Yoon later opened his mouth two more times. Near the end of part 1, after the DJ said part 1 had 2 and a half minutes left and urged him to speak, Yoon said, 'Since it has come up, I will say this,' and added, 'I never imagined the casting at first. Because there were fans of the original work, I wondered whether I could handle it and whether I could do this shoot, and I was grateful that the director came to me.'
An audience member later asked Yoon to give a Marine Corps salute because his character in the drama is from the Marine Corps. Yoon responded, 'For reference, I am not a Marine,' and gave a brief salute.
When a 25% ratings pledge was proposed, Yoon said, 'I want to make a pledge only once. I do not want to act rashly again. I hope Joo Sang-wook makes the next pledge.' His comments brought the added silent-practice time to 15.
Kim Manager is a father-universe revenge action drama about the world's most ordinary father becoming the world's most dangerous man as he fights to recover his only daughter. The recently aired episode 6 recorded 22.3%, and the drama airs every Friday and Saturday at 9:50 p.m.
