Ku Hye-sun addresses weight gain and malicious comments
The actor said in an MBN YouTube preview that she reads malicious comments, then wrote on SNS that she gained 8kg after climbing the Himalayas.
Ku Hye-sun said she checks malicious comments and later shared an update on her recent weight gain, saying she felt sorry to fans before a broadcast appearance.
In a preview video for MBN's YouTube program Kim Joo-ha's Day & Night, released on July 15, 2026, Kim Joo-ha asked whether Ku had received malicious comments despite receiving much love. Ku replied, 'I really read all of the malicious comments.'
Asked which comment stayed with her the most, Ku said it was one that said, 'fat.' She described the comment calmly in the preview.
On July 16, Ku wrote on her SNS that her weight had increased after a recent climb. She said, 'I gained 8kg after climbing the Himalayas,' and added, 'I feel sorry for appearing plumper ahead of the broadcast.'
Ku expressed regret over the unexpected change in her weight and shared her feelings honestly with fans ahead of the broadcast. She has recently continued broadcasts and other activities while communicating with fans.
