RESCENE set for Coupang Play Series halftime show

Coupang Play said on July 15 that RESCENE has been confirmed as the halftime show artist for the Manchester City and Atlético Madrid match at the 2026 Coupang Play Series. The match is scheduled for August 9 at 8 p.m.

RESCENE's recent visibility has been tied to a dialect character and the 'Geoje Yaho!' meme that began on leader Woni's personal YouTube channel and drew attention online. The group also saw music-chart activity, with its special single 'Pretty Girl', a reinterpretation of a KARA hit, reaching the upper ranks of charts, while earlier songs including 'LOVE ATTACK', 'Deja Vu' and 'Runaway' climbed back on charts.

Coupang said, 'Because the group has continued to connect with football fans by visiting K League venues for ceremonial kickoffs and performances, it will present a stage with even more sincerity.' RESCENE said, 'We are honored to join a stage where world-class players gather, and we will give fans an energetic performance that remains memorable for a long time.'

Ticket reservations for the 2026 Coupang Play Series will take place through the Coupang Play app on July 22. Presales for Sports Pass subscribers begin at 12 p.m. that day, and general sales start at 8 p.m.
