KiiiKiii to open WhyKiiiKiii popup on August 6
The group announced the WhyKiiiKiii Duty Free POP-UP through official social media before the release of its third mini album on August 10 at 6 p.m. KST.
KiiiKiii, the group made up of Jiyu, Leesol, Sui, Haum and Kya, has announced an offline promotion ahead of its third mini album 'WhyKiiiKiii'. The group said on official social media on the 21st that it will open 'WhyKiiiKiii Duty Free POP-UP' before the album's release on August 10.
The video released with the announcement showed the members in a space resembling a duty-free store display. In scenes set against a beach backdrop, the members wore varied styling that presented the mood of 'WhyKiiiKiii'. The end of the video disclosed the popup's venue and dates, and indicated that more information about the popup would follow.
'WhyKiiiKiii Duty Free POP-UP' will run from August 6 to 9 on the 1st floor of the venue at 5 Wangsimni-ro 4-gil, Seongdong-gu, Seoul. Through the promotion, KiiiKiii will invite visitors, including its official fan club TiiiKiii, into a duty-free-store-themed space connected to the group's 'WhyKiiiKiii' package tour.
The popup is set to include spaces based on the concept of the new album. Album-related installations and images, photo zones, interactive experience content and goods will be available before the release.
Before announcing the popup, KiiiKiii opened a website built around the 'WhyKiiiKiii' package tour concept through its official social media and website. The teaser content included visuals of the members as tour guides and a system that lets users issue boarding passes. KiiiKiii will release its third mini album 'WhyKiiiKiii' on various online music sites at 6 p.m. KST on August 10 and begin comeback activities.
