Maeng Seung-ji says she had philtrum reduction surgery
The comedian said on social media that she decided on the procedure after 5 years of consideration and months of research.

Comedian Maeng Seung-ji said she underwent philtrum reduction surgery, sharing the update herself through social media on the 11th.
Maeng wrote that she 'finally did it after thinking about it for 5 years.' She said she had wanted the procedure for some time but kept putting it off because scarring was her biggest concern.
She said she tends to think carefully about cosmetic procedures because she prefers natural-looking results over visible changes. Maeng added that, because the decision would be difficult to reverse once made, she spent several months looking into it.
Maeng said she made the decision after carefully comparing the medical staff's experience, the possibility of scarring and whether the result would look natural. A video she shared also showed her condition shortly after surgery.
In the clip, Maeng showed the philtrum area before her stitches were removed and described it as footage filmed right after the surgery. She said she would share the recovery process step by step.
In a social media story, Maeng added that she has been unable to make appointments because of swelling. She also said she decided to disclose the surgery because she was receiving many event inquiries, adding that she had it done without telling her mother.
I finally did it after thinking about it for 5 years.
Because of the swelling, I have not been able to make appointments.
