Sana cast for screen debut in film Nyangi
Kokseu, Npio Entertainment and JACON said on July 9 that the TWICE member and Takeru Satoh have been cast in the cat-themed romance fantasy.
Kokseu, Npio Entertainment and Japan company JACON said on July 9 that TWICE member Sana will make her screen debut as the lead in the tentatively titled Korea-Japan co-production film Nyangi: To Reach Your World.
The companies said Sana has been cast as Nao, the female lead described as having her own lovable charm. Takeru Satoh will play Tamaki, the male lead, opposite her.
The source described the project as a cat-themed romance fantasy. Kwon Hyuk-chan of the drama Guardian: The Lonely and Great God will direct the film, while Nam Dae-jung of the film 30 Days is handling the screenplay.
Npio Entertainment, cited with Jeongnyeon and King the Land, is among the production participants, and the source said the film is aimed at audiences in both Korea and Japan. The film is scheduled to begin shooting in Japan this fall.
