Wavve outlines July slate led by Bloody Game X

Wavve said it revealed its July content lineup through its Monthly Wavve video. The platform said the slate includes Wavve-only originals such as Bloody Game X and Stand by Me, along with new variety programs, dramas and overseas series.

According to Wavve, Bloody Game X is an expanded version of the Bloody Game series and is scheduled for its first release on July 3(Fri). Wavve said the survival program moves from the earlier individual-centered format to a team-based structure. Season 1 participants Lee Sang-min, Jung Keun-woo, Park Ji-min and Lee Tae-kyun make up team P1, Season 2 participants Ha Seung-jin, Hyun Sung-joo, YunB and Lee Jin-hyung make up P2, and Season 3 participants Hong Jin-ho, Xitsuh, Choi Hye-sun and Heo Sung-bum make up P3. Wavve said Kim Kyung-hoon, Kim Yu-hyun, Kim Nam-hee and Kang Ji-hoo join as the Challenger team, while Kwak Beom, Lee Kwan-hee, Shin Seung-yong and Choi Yeon-cheong join as the Rookie team.

Wavve described Stand by Me as a dating reality program that focuses on feelings and choices rather than a male-female format. The platform said participants face their own emotions inside relationships open in every direction. Wavve said the show ranked No. 1 across the platform in driving paid subscriptions during its first week of release.

Wavve said Fandom Stage, produced by Verse Work Co., will be pre-released on the platform in July. The program brings together participants representing idol fandoms, and Wavve described it as the first fandom survival show. According to Wavve, the contestants play games connected to fan activity until one winning team remains.

The KBS2 variety program Happy Together is being revived with a new concept after 6 years, Wavve said. Happy Together: Good Not to Be Alone is a storytelling music audition that combines music with personal stories from different life teammates, according to Wavve. Wavve said Yoo Jae-suk, Jang Hang-jun and Yoon Jong-shin form the 3MC lineup, with Yoo listening to people, Jang listening to stories and Yoon listening to music. The program is scheduled for its first release on July 10.

For the MBC variety program Nollercoaster, Wavve said its first release was on June 21. The show follows Noh Hong-chul, Choi Kang-rok, Go Kyung-pyo and Pani Bottle on a road trip to amusement parks around the world, according to Wavve. Wavve said the four visited a theme park in Spain for their first amusement park stop, where Red Force was described as the tallest and fastest roller coaster in Europe. Wavve said Season 6 of the MBC horror talk show Late Night Ghost Talk began on June 22, with the program presenting scary and strange stories submitted by viewers and searching for a storyteller who can satisfy 44 online audience members.

Wavve said writer Lee Kyung-hee, whose previous works include Sorry, I Love You, The Innocent Man and Uncontrollably Fond, is returning with Love Is Coming. The KBS2 drama is scheduled for July 25 and follows a man and woman who create a family-recipe drama from pieces of broken families, according to Wavve. Wavve said Ha Seok-jin plays Kim Mu-jin, an Italian restaurant owner-chef with complete credentials, while Ahn Hee-yeon, also known as Hani, plays Han Gyu-rim, a side-dish shop employee who keeps her energy despite difficult circumstances. Wavve said the tvN office romance Tomorrow, to Work Again!, first released on June 22, follows Cha Ji-yoon, a 7-year office worker played by Park Ji-hyun, and Kang Si-woo, her prickly supervisor played by Seo In-guk.

Wavve said the Chinese contemporary romance Double Track will also be released on the platform. According to Wavve, the story follows two people who were separated in childhood and meet again later, beginning when Jiang Mu goes to Thailand to find Jin Zhao. Wavve said FBI Season 8 will be released exclusively on the platform, with the U.S. crime procedural following agents at the FBI New York office as they deal with terrorism, organized crime and counterintelligence cases. Wavve also said the wine-themed animation Drops of God follows Kanzaki Shizuku, who enters the world of wine because of a will left by his father, and Shinohara Miyabi, who wants to become a sommelier.
